Details of how to configure specific ATAs (Analogue Telephone Adapters) can be found by selecting the appropriate adapter from the list at the side of this page.
As a guide for ATAs that are not listed here, you will need to be able to configure them with the following information:
| SIP server address: |
| |
213.167.79.25 |
|
SIP/Outbound proxy: |
| |
If your ATA has an option for this, it should be set to the same as the SIP server address (213.167.79.25) |
|
Registration server: |
| |
If your ATA has an option for this, it should be set to the same as the SIP server address (213.167.79.25) |
|
SIP username: |
| |
This is a lower case 'u' followed by your user ID.
For example, if your user ID is 1234, then your SIP username is u1234 |
Password: |
| |
This is the password you normally use to login. |
Registration: |
| |
This must be enabled. If your ATA does not register itself with the WhitePhone servers, then it can not be used to make or recieve calls. |
Codecs: |
| |
You should ensure that both G711 and G729 are available. |
To make a call, you need to dial the full international phone number. Calls will be charged at our standard rates.
You can also call a PC based user for free. To do this you need to know their user ID, and dial them by prefixing this with four zeros. So, for example, to call user 1234 you would dial 00001234. |
