Using an ATA, Siemens Gigaset or other IP Phone device with our services

Please consult your hardware instruction guide for details on how to configure your specific Analogue Telephone Adapters (ATAs), connect a Siemens Gigaset or any other IP Phone device.

You will need to configure your hardware with the following information:

SIP server address:
62.189.144.123

SIP/Outbound proxy:
If your ATA has an option for this, it should be set to the same as the SIP server address (62.189.144.123)

Registration server:
If your ATA has an option for this, it should be set to the same as the SIP server address (62.189.144.123)

SIP username:
This is a lower case 'u' followed by your user ID.
For example, if your user ID is 1234, then your SIP username is u1234
Your user ID is shown on your personal profile and is the number shown next to the word FastTalk

Password:
This is the password you normally use to login.

Registration:
This must be enabled. If your ATA does not register itself with the WhitePhone servers, then it can not be used to make or recieve calls.

Codecs:
You should ensure that both G711 and G729 are available.

To make a call, you need to dial the full international phone number. Calls will be charged at our standard rates.

You can also call any other user for free if they are at their computer. To do this you need to know their user ID, and you can dial them by prefixing the user ID with four zeros. For example, to call user 1234 you would dial 00001234.
